Cassie was torn away from her thoughts as the front door of the shelter had opened.
"Hey, what are you doing out here?" asked a familiar voice, and she turned to see Ace staring at her with a confused look on her face.
Cassie put on a fake smile. "Just thinking."
"In the rain?" Ace asked. "Seems a bit dramatic. Didn't say you were getting soda or something?"
"The soda machines work horribly," Cassie said absentmindedly, standing up.
Ace nodded slightly, and sat next to the blue bunny. "Why so dramatically sad? This isn't a drama story-- Oh wait... yeah, it is. Go on then."

Prologue
It was a beautiful, sunny day in ToonTown, just like any other. The sun shimmered upon all of ToonTown, and all of the Toons that lived amongst the cozy, care-free land. One young bunny was especially enjoying that day as she fished in the Central.
To her dismay, it would all go downhill from there. As joyous Toons enjoyed their day, the mayor, Flippy, and a pair of Toon Meteorologists sat in the Toon Hall's conference room worriedly.
"Are you sure? Absolutely sure of this?" asked the mayor, his blue fur tingling anxiously from the news he had just heard. The maroon cat, and yellow mouse nodded sadly.

Cassie rubbed her temples as she sat on the bed, trying to think of what to do in this surprising situation. Ace, who had finally awoken and was given an explanation to what had happened, merely sat up in her bed and toyed with her couch pillow. Eliza stood, who was waiting patiently for Cassie's response to it all, yet was slowly drifting her attention elsewhere to occupy herself. Even the wise ruler's boredom was apparent as she clicked her tongue and twirled the edges of her pitch black hair.
"What do I have to do?"
The break of silence snapped both Ace and Eliza back to focus, and Eliza smiled at no longer having to wait for a respon

Cassie gasped. Had she heard right? "I.. I..."
Eliza gave a short chuckle. "I know it seems like a hard task, but trust me, with the group I am prepared to give you, I am certain you will not fail."
"But..... who is this 'group'?" Cassie raised an eyebrow.
"I was hoping you would ask that," Eliza said as she smiled brightly. "Allow me to show them to you."
At this Cassie's ears perked, looking around with a confused look on her face. "They're here?"
Eliza laughed, "Not exactly."
Eliza clapped her hands closed, and then, after a moment, re-opened them. A blue orb appeared, somewhat resembling a crystal ball. Cassie took a step back as
